Following up from yesterday’s post about what we took in our busy bags for a 2 ½ year old, here is what we brought with us for Eli on our Hobart, and then NZ trips. He was 7 months on our Hobart trip and 8 months on our NZ trip, but I think these things are great Busy Bag Ideas for a 4 – 9 month old baby – this will depend on your individual child though.
For Eli we made sure to bring some teething toys, hard books, and one of those lamaze toys that have lots of different bits on them. I also like to bring with me those click together rings because you can connect them to all sorts of things like seat belts and furniture when you need to distract a baby!
Because we were travelling with our toddler as well, and had the toy cars, soft teddy, and regular books with us as well. For this age range, the toy cars were surprisingly helpful, and while the regular books weren’t so helpful for Eli, when Lior was his age he LOVED to sit and “read” books with us, so that is definitely subject to your child’s personality.
Children will often make their own toys when you’re on holiday, so don’t fret! Just let them explore and you’ll be surprised with what they come up with!
